Delete through Settings

You can remove single or multiple songs, artists, and albums from your iOS device.

Follow the step-by-step process below.

1. Open the Settings app

Open the Settings app on your mobile device.

2. Select the General tab

From the list of options on the screen, click on General.

3. Select iPhone storage

Scroll to the iPhone storage option and click it.

4. Locate the Music option

You will see some apps on the screen, find Music, and tap it.

5. Delete every music or a particular song

On the Music screen, scroll down a bit, and you will see an option to delete all songs as well as a list of artists on your music library.

  • Locate the artist button then hold on it and swipe. Click the delete option to remove every song or album by that artist.
  • Alternatively, you can click on the artist button to reveal the list of albums under it. Swipe on any album and click on the delete button.

iOS users with Apple Music can remove any unwanted song from their device with the step-by-step guide below.

Remove any Music from Library

1. Open Apple Music

Open the Apple Music app on your smartphone.

2. Select the Songs option

On the home screen, you will see some tabs:

  • Playlists.
  • Artists.
  • Albums.
  • Songs.
  • Downloaded Music.

Tap songs.

3. Find the song you want to delete

You will see a list of songs on your mobile device, scroll to the song you want to delete.

4. Tap and hold the song

Once you find the music, tap and hold it for some seconds until the pop-menu appears.

5. Delete the song from the music library

Click on Delete from Library on the pop-up menu.

6. Confirm to delete the song

Confirm on the next pop-up menu that you want to delete the music by tapping on the delete song button again.

You can also remove a song by a particular singer.

1. Click on the artist option

On the home screen, tap on the artist option.

2. Select an artist

From the list of artists on your music app, tap and hold on a particular singer and a pop-up menu will appear.

3. Delete from the music library

On the pop-up menu, click on Delete from Library.

4. Confirm to delete artist

Confirm your intention to delete by clicking delete artist.

1. Select the albums option

Tap on albums on the home screen.

2. Choose an album to delete

Select an album from the list that you want to delete.

3. Tap and hold the album

Tap and hold on the album for a short time, and a pop-up option will appear.

4. Select the delete from Library option

Click on Delete from Library from the options.

5. Delete the album

On the confirmation pop-up, click on delete album.
