Kodi is a free-to-download, open-source entertainment software that sorts your digital media or content in a friendly all-in-one package. It is easy to customize and supports many devices, including every Android TV box.
NOTE: By following this simple guide, you should be able to set up Kodi on your Android TV.
1. Power on your Android TV Box
The first step is to turn on the TV; then on the home screen, select and open any web browser that is installed on the TV box.
2. Download Kodi from the official website
Once you launch the web browser, enter “kodi.tv/download” into the address bar. The Kodi download page should display with some information regarding the software.
Scroll to the bottom of the screen until you see the “choose your weapon” section. Click on Android from the list since you will be installing Kodi on an Android TV box.
After selecting Android, you will see a pop-up screen with download options. Depending on the build of your TV box, select either the 32 bit ARMV7A or 64 bit ARMV8A to start the download.
After the download completes, tap on the file to open the installation screen, and then hit the install button to start installing Kodi on the Android box.
Once the installation is complete, click on done.
3. Create a Kodi Shortcut on Your TV
On the main screen of your TV, select a tile from the list and hold down the “okay” button on your remote control.
There should be a pop-up afterward containing tiles; all you have to do is select and click on the Kodi icon from the list.
Once you do that, the icon will replace a previous tile on the home screen, thereby creating a Kodi shortcut.
4. Launch Kodi
On the home screen, click on the Kodi icon to launch it. Make your self familiar with every option on the screen.
You should also install the Durex build plugin for more streaming options.
Enjoy the entertainment experience!!!
